Monograph Raises $20 Million to Fix How Architects & Engineers Work Together

Big news: Today we announced $20M in Series B+ funding by Base10 Partners.

Before Monograph, I was an architect. I loved to design, but managing projects was chaos—unprofitable budgets, scattered teams, and nonstop firefighting just to stay on track. No one had it figured out.

That’s why we built Monograph.

Since our last fundraise, we’ve grown 6x—now serving 12,000+ architects and engineers managing $14.5 billion in project fees. Our customers, such as Brooks + Scarpa Architects and Woodhull, have proven that Monograph works. On average, A&E firms using Monograph increase revenue by 21% and see 20x ROI in their first year.

But there’s still one big problem: collaboration between firms is broken.

The Industry’s Biggest Pain Point

Architects and engineers don’t work alone.

74% of firms on Monograph work with external consultants—structural engineers, MEP engineers, and more. Right now, those collaborations happen through scattered email threads, disconnected spreadsheets, and outdated software.

It slows projects down. It leads to costly mistakes. And it makes it harder to deliver great design on time and on budget.

I asked one of our customers, Joe Polasik, Principal at BLACKSHEEP Engineering, what makes managing A&E projects so difficult. His answer was clear:

"A&E projects are complicated enough without juggling emails and fragmented tools. A centralized platform like Monograph, which aligns internal operations with client needs, makes our work significantly more efficient."–Joe Polasik, Principal at BLACKSHEEP Engineering

What We’re Building Now

We’re fixing the way architects and engineers work together—inside and across firms.

That means even better tools for scheduling and billing—shared seamlessly across project teams. No more deliverable timeline nightmares. No more budget overruns and late payments. Just clarity, efficiency, and control.

The need for better collaboration is overdue. Matt Thackray from Prospect Studio shared:

"Monograph has transformed how we manage projects internally, and some of our consultants are already using it. The ability to streamline collaboration across firms within Monograph could drive even greater efficiency."–Matt Thackray of Prospect Studio in Jackson Hole, WY

Why A&E Collaboration Matters

The homes, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure we all rely on start with you—architects and engineers. But skyrocketing construction costs and compounding inefficiencies make delivering great projects harder than ever.

TJ Nahigian from Base10 Partners believes Monograph is tackling this at its core:

"Monograph is solving real problems for the real economy. Architects and engineers shape the world we live in, and better tools mean better projects for everyone."–TJ Nahigian, Base10 Partners (our new investor)

We’ve already helped 12,000+ architects and engineers streamline their business and increase profitability. Now, we’re making it even easier to keep teams in sync, deliver projects faster, and build stronger businesses.

Take Control of Your Projects

The way architects and engineers work together is broken.

Monograph changes that—giving you the clarity, control, and confidence to run more successful projects.
